Rainforests and Ravished Snow by Alan E.J Andrews

Alan Andrews believes that the coastal region of NSW, edged by the Great Dividing Range, is among the most stunning places on earth. He's always loved exploring this land. In his book, he fondly recalls adventures from his youth and highlights two significant regions.
 
One is his youthful exploration of the rainforests near the Hastings, Mannings, and Hunter rivers, especially the Manning area. This region holds special memories for him, with tales rooted in his great grandfather's pioneering days.
 
The second region is the snowy terrain of the Snowy Mountains. While Alan has previously written about its history and skiing experiences, this time he shares his initial skiing adventures in lesser-known parts of these mountains. Some of these tales made it into the Australian Ski Year Books, though these editions are rare now.
